Bow River Report - May 31st, 2007
Fishing Conditions
The Bow has dropped slightly and cleared above the Highwood this week.
Visibility is around 3 feet above the Highwood and about 18" below the Highwood
after mixing.
Streamer fishing has been pretty good with sink tips and heavier, weighted flies. Nymph fishing reports have been good as well. The big news is of
course that the caddis are present in good numbers. Earlier in the week saw rising fish all day. The brighter, hotter weather mid-week did result in fewer rising fish during daytime but if you find shaed, or wait until evening there are good numbers of snouts.
The rainbows are returning to the Bow so we are seeing anglers catching a more even number of browns and rainbows. There are still lots of big browns eating caddis.

Fishing Conditions
Salmonflies started their emergence earlier this week and as of today there are a few bugs as high as Burmis Lake. Visibility is around 18" with expectations for it improve over this weekend.
Nymphing will likely be excellent over the weekend and if visibility does improve the dry fly fishing could be great.
