Bow River Report - June 22nd, 2007
Fishing Conditions
Last Sundays record rainfall delayed things on the river for a while. Levels came up drastically early in the week and visibility went to almost zero. As of today the river is at mid 250 CMS levels with about 6" visibility. Reports from the northern parts of the city indicate some improvement in visibility today. The Elbow is dropping but the Bow at Banff has been coming up with snowmelt from last weekends weather system. If precipitation stays away the conditions should start to improve over the next week.
Diehard fishermen who have been out this week have been catching fish but you have to work for them. Heavily weighted nymphs and streamers in the soft water are your best bet.

Crowsnest River Report - June 22nd, 2007
Fishing Conditions
The Crowsnest is part of a group of streams in the south part of the province that offer the best conditions right now. Spared the heavy rainfall of last week, the Crow had about 3 feet of visibility last Tuesday and will likely have improved.
Some Golden Stones were around as well as a few Pale Morning Duns. Dry fly fishing with stoneflies was pretty good but if you were to fish a stonefly nymph it is absolute carnage. Obviously the stones are very active and the fish are on them in a big way. Expect dry fly fishing to get better and better in the next week.
Hatches
Salmonflies (finishing), Golden Stones, PMDs, Caddis.
Fly Selection
Streamers: Slump Buster, C/H Bow River Bugger.

High Country River Report - June 22nd, 2007
Fishing Conditions
As with the Crowsnest, most of the east slope streams did not receive the rainfall amounts last week that the Bow drainage did. As such, the high country streams are all shaping up pretty good. Most remain a little high but clear.
Reports from the Livingstone have been very good for rising fish. Upper Oldman and Highwood Rivers are clear and dropping.
Hatches
Stoneflies.
Fly Selection
Nymphs: B/H Prince Nymph, Morrish WMD Stone, Dirty Bird.
Dries: Parachute Adams, Stimi Chew Toys, Berrett's Mutant Stone, AC Caddis.
