Bow River Report - June 14th, 2007
Fishing Conditions
Water levels on the Bow are dropping steadily. Levels have gone from a peak of mid 300 CMS to 261 today. Levels at Banff are dropping quite quickly as well so barring any heavy rains the river should be in prime shape in the next week. Both the Highwood and Sheep have dropped significantly and are starting to turn green (much better than the dark brown of late last week.)
Reports from the last few days have been surprisingly good with big fish being taken on streamers and stonefly nymphs.
If conditions continue to improve you should try and get out this weekend. Do keep in mind that the flows are still high and you need to exercise caution around the river.
Dry fly fishing should start to come around as the visibility increases.
We are all looking forward to PMDs.

Crowsnest River Report - June 14th, 2007
Fishing Conditions
Water levels on the Crow are dropping fairly quickly with levels down around the 14 CMS range. A lot better than the 22 CMS of last week. The Salmonfly hatch continues to move upriver so a trip to the Crowsnest might be a good idea in the next few days. Probably a good idea to check weather as heavy rain could change things.
Try searching the water with a Salmonfly pattern on top and then go back through with a large Stonefly nymph.

High Country River Report - June 14th, 2007
Fishing Conditions
High country streams open for fishing this Saturday. Although we have not been out to many of them we are told that the upper Highwood and Sheep rivers are fairly clear. Expect most of the east slope streams to be fairly clear but still a little high.
You should expect to catch some fish if you work at it but remember it is still a little early for the higher rivers and streams. If you don't find much on top try some bead head nymphs in some of the slower, softer portions of the stream..
Hatches
Will advise on next report.
