Bow River Report - July 29th, 2007
Fishing Conditions
Hot weather continues but is supposed to cool as we get into next week.
Water temperatures dropped a little earlier this week but are coming up again.
Morning dry fly fishing (Stoneflies) has been fairly good until around 11 AM on sunny days and longer on cloudy days. Evening dry fly fishing (Caddis) has been inconsistent with some evenings being great and others not happening at all.
Hopper/Dropper fishing in the riffles and seams is a good choice, particularily in the heat of the afternoon. Streamer fishing has been very good to excellent even with the hot, sunny weather.
Cooler weather next week should be a big help for water temperature and getting the fish in a little better mood.
We should see the Tricos start to show up in the next while and with river levels dropping it is likely we will start to see more rising fish.

Crowsnest River Report - July 23rd, 2007
Fishing Conditions
Low and clear, the Crow is in nice shape. Temperatures in the high 30s and low 40s make for slow fishing during the mid-day but early and late will fish just fine.
Faster, more oxygenated water will likely produce better success with dry flies and small nymphs.
Hatches
Golden Stones, PMDs, Caddis, Flavilinea (Green Drakes).
