Bow River Report - June 30, 2009
Fishing Conditions
River conditions are more indicative of late July than June with excellent visibility and dropping levels. Flow rates as of this morning are at 97.54 CMS, almost half of what they were 10 days ago.
Dry fly fishing has been getting better with each passing day. PMD's, Caddis, and some Golden Stones starting make for lots of fodder for the fish. The only thing that has detracted from the rising fish lately has been wind.
Nymphing has been very good with Stonefly patterns working well in the riffles. With the water dropping it is very manageable to fish a small bead head in the bank seams, bars, and riffle structures. Hopper(Stonefly)/Bead has been producing over the last several days.
Streamer fishing is improving a lot right now. A lot more water is an option with lower water.

PMD's, Caddis, Stoneflies

Crowsnest River Report - June 30, 2009
Fishing Conditions
The Crowsnest has dropped and cleared nicely. Wading is getting a lot easier and there are several areas where most anglers can cross.
Dry fly fishing is getting going with Stoneflies, PMD's, and Caddis.
Nymphing has been good. With lower levels try a smaller, tungsten bead nymph under a foam fly.
After fishing through a run with a dry or nymph try a small streamer through the riffle and pool, it can be very productive
